Ashley Johnson
Technical Director
Ashley has spent most of their life in IT. When a network goes down, a server misbehaves or a system won't do what it should, Ashley is the person people call.
Ashley's career covers almost every part of the industry. They started in technical support and quickly moved into leadership, running the support team at Communications Solutions UK and then a global service desk at ESP Global Services. After that came hands-on engineering: supporting desktops at Foundation Home Loans, working on-site in the data centres at Pulsant, and handling 2nd-line infrastructure and hardware support at AspiraCloud. At Device Authority, an IoT security company, Ashley spent nearly two years solving complex technical problems for customers.
Outside work, Ashley still does the same things, just for fun. As Lead Developer of Just4Fun Gaming, a community gaming group, Ashley builds and runs the platform behind it. That means Kubernetes clusters managed with Rancher, Docker containers, Proxmox virtualisation and dedicated game servers. Many businesses would be pleased to have a setup like it, and Ashley runs it for enjoyment. Servers and infrastructure aren't just Ashley's job; they're a real passion.
Ashley's qualifications back this up. They're a UniFi Full Stack Professional and hold Microsoft certifications in Azure, Azure Active Directory, Remote Desktop Services and Windows 10 management, plus ZyXEL Certified Network Professional qualifications in wireless and VoIP.
As Technical Director of Generative Solutions, Ashley brings all of that experience together. They're responsible for the technology behind everything we deliver, from networks and servers to the platforms we build. That's how we live up to our motto: simple solutions for complex situations.
